How to foster smart resource usage and improve energy efficiency of buildings? 

Information and networking event for the building and construction industry

Buildings are responsible for 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 Emission in the EU. Energy efficiency and smart building constructions therefore become a key topic in Europe driven by ambitions CO2 emissions reductions targets and energy performance of buildings. Green Technology is an important factor in this matter. New trends consider buildings as energy assets; new disruptive innovations come together with new business models, which leads to new partnerships between technology companies, connected home device suppliers, as well as building automation systems providers and lighting control specialists. Companies and research institutions have to react to these challenges and succeed in strong competition.

Focus of this event

Meet potential business and research partners from Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic involved in building and construction sectors focused on integration of green technologies. The goal is to foster cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration mainly within the region of Vienna, Brno and Bratislava. The aim is to facilitate interesting business opportunities, discuss new trends with experts and present your expertise. Participation at the special 120 seconds Speed Dating Event provides an opportunity to meet with and introduce yourself to almost all participants.

Due to a maximum of 70 participants for this even, only one person per organisation shall regiser.

Keynote: 

Ms Ursula Schneider - CEO of pos architekten (Vienna) - a pioneer of sustainable architecture. Ms. Schneider has a profound expertise in Green Building Technology and will give a presentation on the latest technological trends of sustainable buildings.

Mr Antonín Vondruška - an Export department Manager from Czech engineering company ASIO focused on air, water and wastewater treatment. Mr Vondruška, is going to present solutions for Water Management in Buildings.

Ms Vera Enzi - from European Federation of Green Roof and Wall Associations – EFB, Austrian Green Roof and Living Wall Association VfB, University of Life Sciences BOKU Vienna is going to talk about alternative ways to achieve more environmentally friendly buildings.

     

 

120 Seconds:     

This unique speed networking method allows participants to meet at round tables according to a predetermined schedule with almost all participants.

There are several round tables prepared each of them having assigned moderator who starts, supports and manages the discussion between participants.

Each representative has 120 seconds to present activities of his or hers own company or research organization and areas for possible cooperation.

The participation is free of charge. The only condition of participation is the presentation of the company/institution (what it can offer and what it requests). Only one person per company is permitted.

Site visit:  

The final block of this event is a site visit of the plus energy building "OeAD - Guesthouse".
